Diego Kravetz opens self-defense academy in Lanús

Diego Kravetz, the Deputy Secretary of Operations for Argentina’s State Intelligence Secretariat (SIDE), is opening a private self-defense academy in Lanús. The academy will offer jiu-jitsu, boxing, physical training, and self-defense techniques. While Kravetz’s associates maintain the initiative is strictly a private venture, the move has significant political implications.

Kravetz, a former security official and legislator, is being positioned by local councilman Marcelo Villa as a potential candidate for mayor of Lanús in 2027. The academy’s focus on security aligns with Kravetz’s political identity. Although Kravetz remains an active official within SIDE, his increased presence in local neighborhoods has fueled speculation regarding his future electoral ambitions to challenge existing political factions in the district.
