Diego Luna to Receive Honorary Heart of Sarajevo at 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival
Mexican actor, director and producer Diego Luna will be honoured with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, which runs from 14 to 21 August in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The festival will screen his most recent directorial feature, Ashes, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and Luna will conduct a masterclass for attendees.
Luna’s career includes acclaimed roles in Y tu mamá también and the Disney+ series Andor, for which he earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations. The Sarajevo Film Festival will also honour Iranian Oscar‑winning filmmaker Asghar Farhadi and open with Fatherland by Oscar‑winning director Pawel Pawlikowski. Festival director Jovan Marjanović said Luna’s body of work has left a profound mark on contemporary cinema.
