At the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy, pétanque players from the Fréjus International Pétanque club achieved significant success.

Diego Rizzi secured two gold medals, winning both the precision shooting event and the men's doubles competition alongside partner Andrea Chiapello. In the doubles final, the Italian pair defeated Spain with a score of 9-4.

Nelly Peyré also earned multiple medals, winning gold in the women's doubles with Torea Tairio after defeating Spain 13-9. She previously earned a silver medal in the precision shooting event, narrowly losing to Spain's Alba Valiente Quereda with a score of 32-30.
