Diego Urrego appointed acting president of Colpensiones

The Board of Directors of Colpensiones has unanimously appointed Diego Urrego Escobar as the acting president of the entity. The appointment was finalized during an extraordinary session presided over by the Minister of Labor, Natalia López Fuentes.

Urrego previously served as the manager of Judicial Defense for Colpensiones and is a professor in the Master's program in Labor Law and Social Security at the Universidad del Rosario. His leadership comes at a strategic time for the state administrator, which manages the collection, administration, and payment of pension savings for millions of Colombians. This transition occurs as the country prepares for the implementation of a pension reform scheduled to begin operating in April 2027.
