Diego Ventura reports horses are recovering after highway accident

Rejoneador Diego Ventura has provided an update on the condition of his horses following a serious truck accident on the A-5 highway near Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Cáceres. Two days after the vehicle overturned, Ventura confirmed that all the animals are evolving favorably despite sustaining significant injuries.

Among the most affected were the horses Brillante and Fouto. Brillante was initially in critical condition but has shown considerable improvement; Ventura noted that while the horse has serious wounds, none have affected nerves or tendons. Fouto also suffered a cut on a limb and extreme exhaustion from the impact but is reportedly doing much better. Other horses, including Lío and Quitasueños, also sustained various cuts and injuries but are recovering.

The accident, which occurred on Monday morning, resulted in injuries to the truck driver and a Civil Guard officer. Ventura expressed optimism that the horses will eventually heal and return to bullfighting.
