Dieng Culture Festival 2026 promotes Indonesian tourism and local coffee

The 2026 Dieng Culture Festival (DCF), held from August 28-30 in Dieng Kulon Village, Banjarnegara, Central Java, serves as a strategic platform to promote authentic Indonesian tourism and local economic growth. The 16th edition of the festival has been recognized as one of the Top 10 events in the Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) program due to its regional impact and quality.

A key component of this year's event is the Dieng Coffee Festival, themed ‘The Dieng Origin Mountain Coffee’. This initiative highlights the region's coffee industry, specifically the Arabica coffee with geographical indications, while also showcasing Robusta and Liberica varieties. The festival aims to connect farmers, entrepreneurs, and the creative economy sectors to expand market opportunities.

The Ministry of Tourism noted that the festival significantly benefits local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with many participants reporting high sales volumes. The Ministry is actively promoting the event internationally to enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesia's tourism destinations and will conduct surveys to evaluate the festival's socio-economic impact.
