Diesel prices reach highest levels since April
Diesel prices have reached their highest levels since April, with the national average rising to 2.312 €/l. This increase follows a weekly trend where prices rose by approximately 3.2 cents, driven by broader market conditions.
In response to the high costs, TotalEnergies announced a temporary price reduction for its highway stations. For the weekend of August 29 and 30, 2026, the company will offer diesel at 1.99 €/l. This promotion, aimed at motorists during the final weekend of summer holidays, creates a significant price gap of roughly 25 cents per liter compared to other stations.
