Dietary habits and hair loss prevention

Medical experts suggest that dietary habits play a significant role in hair health and the prevention of hair loss. Beyond genetics, hormones, and stress, consuming certain foods can impact blood circulation and the scalp environment.

To reduce the risk of thinning hair, experts recommend limiting the intake of high-sugar and high-carbohydrate foods, such as cereals, potatoes, and snacks, as these can increase triglycerides and impair circulation. Additionally, excessive consumption of high-calorie and high-fat foods, including fatty meats and certain dairy products, may promote the activity of 5α-reductase, a factor linked to androgenetic alopecia (AGA).

Conversely, specialists advise incorporating foods rich in protein, zinc, vitamins, and soy isoflavones to support hair strength and health.
