Jörg Dahlmann recovers after cancer battle and five surgeries
Former football commentator Jörg Dahlmann has provided an update on his health following a severe battle with cancer. After a liver tumor was discovered in June, Dahlmann underwent five operations and spent 58 days in the hospital, including a period in a medically induced coma.
His recovery was complicated by several setbacks, including the discovery of an enlarged lymph node, an abscess, abdominal bleeding, and bacterial infections in a central venous catheter. Dahlmann, who noted a genetic predisposition to cancer due to his family history, stated that he is now cancer-free and is recovering on Mallorca.
He expressed a desire to speak publicly about his experience to encourage others, particularly men, to prioritize medical screenings and preventative care.
