DIETH releases new single and music video ‘Pound of Flesh’

The metal band DIETH has released a new single and music video titled ‘Pound of Flesh’. The release marks a new chapter for the group, introducing a revised lineup that includes Swedish bassist Tobias Cristiansson (formerly of Grave and Necrophobic) and guitarist Hubert Więcek.

The song serves as a preview for the band’s upcoming second studio album, which is scheduled for release through Fireflash Records in March 2027. Lyrically, ‘Pound of Flesh’ draws inspiration from the Sack of Magdeburg in 1631 during the Thirty Years’ War, drawing parallels between historical atrocities and modern warfare.

Vocalist and guitarist Guilherme Miranda described the track as a brutal blend of death and thrash metal, noting it is one of the band’s favorite works to date.
