DIF Coahuila distributes functional aids in Piedras Negras
Liliana Salinas Valdés, the honorary president of DIF Coahuila, led a working tour in Piedras Negras to promote inclusion during the Month of Disability. The activities included a ‘Zumbatón por la Inclusión’ at the Luis Donaldo Colosio High School to encourage integration among students and families.
During the visit, DIF Coahuila distributed 120 functional aids, such as wheelchairs and orthopedic devices, at the Universidad Vizcaya de las Américas. The state government reported that more than 800 such supports have been distributed across Coahuila to improve mobility and independence for beneficiaries.
Additionally, 45 UNEDIF units were delivered to various municipalities to facilitate transportation for people with disabilities. Salinas Valdés also announced the upcoming operation of the Integral Rehabilitation Center in San Juan de Sabinas to expand services in the Carbonífera region.
