DIF Guadalajara provides free dental services to 600 residents

DIF Guadalajara has launched a mobile dental brigade to provide free oral health services to approximately 600 residents. The initiative aims to bridge gaps in community access to preventative care, specifically targeting underserved populations facing socioeconomic barriers to dental treatment.

Scheduled from August 17 to 21, the program offers services including dental cleanings, fluoride application, X-rays, extractions, and cavity treatments. The brigade also provides specialized attention for children to promote early prevention and hygiene education.

Health experts note that such interventions are critical for mitigating common oral pathologies like caries and periodontal disease, which can lead to systemic health issues such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes if left untreated.
