DIF Saltillo provides over 11,700 free medical services

DIF Saltillo has provided more than 11,700 free services through its ‘Espacios DIF’ program, according to Luly López Naranjo, the honorary president of the organization. The initiative aims to bring medical and psychological care directly to neighborhoods with high social needs to reduce travel difficulties for families.

To date, the program has delivered 6,919 medical consultations, 1,692 psychological orientations, and 3,126 medications. Services include medical attention, psychological support, emotional first aid, family counseling, and mental health prevention.

Currently, four Espacios DIF centers are operational in Tierra y Libertad, Satélite Sur, Hidalgo, and Urdiñola. The organization also maintains a presence in various community centers across Saltillo. Plans are underway to expand the network with new spaces in the Morelos, Saltillo 2000, Margaritas, and Oceanía neighborhoods.
