DIF Tamaulipas distributes food baskets in Altamira and opens aid collection for Venezuelan earthquake victims
The Sistema DIF Altamira delivered food baskets from the "Voluntad de Ayudar" program to families in the Graneros del Sur rural community of Altamira, Tamaulipas, aiming to strengthen food security for vulnerable households.
The DIF office in Ciudad Victoria opened a collection center to gather food, hygiene products and baby supplies for families in Venezuela affected by recent earthquakes. The drive, led by Dr. María de Villarreal, accepted donations from July 1‑8, requesting items such as canned goods, pasta, milk powder, soap, diapers and cleaning supplies, with the goal of channeling the aid to the disaster‑hit region.
