DIF Tamaulipas distributes food baskets to over 63,000 families in 43 municipalities
The State System for Integral Family Development (DIF) in Tamaulipas completed its second round of food‑basket deliveries under the Voluntad de Ayudar and Voluntad de Ayudar en los Primeros 1,000 Días y Primera Infancia programs. From 1 to 17 June, teams visited all 43 municipalities, providing nutritious items such as corn flour, rice, beans, lentils, canned fish, milk, oil and fresh produce to priority households, including people with disabilities, the elderly, malnourished individuals, community educators and families living below the poverty line. In total, 63,485 beneficiaries received the aid, complemented by nutritional education and quality‑assurance activities aimed at strengthening food security and the right to adequate nutrition.
The operation is funded through the General Budget Chapter 33 and the Multiple Contributions Fund for Social Assistance, and aligns with the State’s Integrated Strategy for Social Assistance, Nutrition and Community Development (EIASADC 2026).
