DIF Yucatán delivers 34 piglets to Yaxcabá families to boost food security

The Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) in Yucatán handed over 34 Mexican hairless piglets to households in the Canakom and Tinuncah precincts of Yaxcabá municipality. The delivery included 20 piglets (17 females, 3 males) to the "Mujeres Trabajadoras" women's group in Canakom and 14 piglets (11 females, 3 males) to the "Nicte‑Há" community group in Tinuncah.

The program, endorsed by Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena and DIF Yucatán President‑Honoree Wendy Méndez Naal, aims to strengthen local food security, promote community development, and generate income opportunities by enabling families to raise pigs at home.
