Social assistance programs expand support for vulnerable groups in Mexico

Various social assistance programs and community initiatives are being implemented across Mexico to support vulnerable populations. In Puebla, the SEDIF received donations from Grupo AB Socio Comercial METLIFE, providing 25 wheelchairs, and Grupo Bachoco, donating 1,477 kilograms of chicken to support children and seniors in social assistance homes.

In other regions, municipal governments are providing direct aid. Donato Guerra distributed 162 items, including wheelchairs, walkers, and medical supplies, to families facing disabilities. El Mante, Tamaulipas, maintains a permanent campaign for free functional devices such as hearing aids and glasses. In Chihuahua, community dining rooms offer nutritious meals at highly subsidized rates for children and the elderly.

Additional efforts include the inauguration of a community dining and development space in Dzemul, Yucatán, to improve food security. In Cuautla, the Plan Cuautla has conducted 199 territorial sessions benefiting over 6,500 people through community services and educational support. Furthermore, health authorities in Querétaro are implementing training to humanize intensive care services for patients and their families.
