DIGI Spain IPO loses €133 million on debut, stock rebounds

DIGI Spain began its market debut at €6 per share, 7.1% above the €5.60 IPO price, but closed the first session at €5.15, an 8% decline that erased about €133.5 million from its valuation, reducing market capitalisation from €1.662 billion to €1.528 billion. Investors had shown strong interest, with demand around €1.3 billion, four times the €287 million actually placed.

On the second trading day the shares rose 4.85% to €5.40, lifting the market cap to €1.603 billion, though still trading below the IPO reference price. The offering combined a €150 million capital increase and a €137 million secondary sale by DIGI Romania, with net funds of roughly €134 million earmarked to accelerate the rollout of DIGI’s own fiber and mobile network in Spain. The Romanian parent retains about 80% of DIGI Spain’s equity, ensuring control over the subsidiary’s strategic direction.
