Digi surpasses 3 million fiber optic customers in Spain

Digi has surpassed 3 million fiber optic customers in Spain, solidifying its position as the third-largest operator in the country. This milestone places the company ahead of Vodafone España, trailing only Orange and Telefónica.

The company reported that its fiber customer base has grown eightfold over the last five years, with a 141% increase in the last three years. Digi's SMART fiber network now reaches 14.84 million homes, contributing to a total of over 12 million active services as of September.

This growth is attributed to a commercial strategy focused on low-cost, permanent pricing. Unlike major competitors that have adjusted rates based on inflation (CPI), Digi has maintained or reduced prices, offering fiber starting at 10 euros per month without temporary promotions. In the first half of 2026, the company invested 205 million euros, a 36% increase from the previous year, primarily for fiber and mobile network deployment.
