Bandai Namco Reveals Digimon Story: Time Stranger on Switch 2

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the RPG Digimon Story: Time Stranger will launch on Nintendo Switch and the newly released Nintendo Switch 2 on July 10, 2026. The game lets players collect and raise more than 450 Digimon, travel between the human world and the Digital World Iliad, and battle in turn‑based combat. The story follows an ADAMAS agent who is thrown back eight years in time to investigate a mysterious world‑collapsing event.

The Switch 2 version offers two graphic modes: a Quality mode with 4K/HDR output and a Performance mode delivering a steady 60 fps. A free update adds a new Terriermon Assistant playable character, a photo mode, and a graphic mode selector. Pre‑order bundles include costume sets and exclusive Digimon, while a Season Pass provides three DLC packs with additional Digimon and story episodes. A separate patch for the PS5 version introduces a 60 fps mode and other quality‑of‑life improvements.
