Digital banking services expand accessibility in Morocco and Israel
Digital banking services are expanding their accessibility through new features in Morocco and Israel.
In Morocco, the neobank Simple, owned by Attijariwafa bank, has introduced a feature allowing new customers to instantly fund their accounts using national or international debit cards immediately upon account opening. This digital process aims to eliminate the need for physical branch visits or waiting for bank transfers, enabling immediate use for payments, transfers, and online purchases. The platform also offers travel assistance, commercial deals, QR code payments, and the ability to create up to 20 virtual cards.
In Israel, Bank Leumi has launched a multilingual version of its mobile banking application, which now supports five languages, including French. This move is intended to increase autonomy for francophone clients, particularly those investing in or living in Israel, by allowing them to manage financial transactions and monitor accounts in their native language without relying on Hebrew or English interfaces.
