Digital Brands Group relocates headquarters to Texas
Digital Brands Group is relocating its headquarters from California to Round Rock, Texas. CEO Hil Davis cited several reasons for the move, including California’s high cost of living, regulatory burdens, litigation expenses, and long commutes. Davis stated, “Doing business in the state of California sucks,” noting that the Texas environment offers a more business-friendly atmosphere and lower operating costs.
The Round Rock Chamber described the relocation as a significant economic development win for the city. The company plans to operate in approximately 47,611 square feet of space, with intentions to expand to over 70,000 square feet after the first year. Digital Brands Group expects to begin by hiring more than 30 employees, with plans for substantial job growth as the company enters its next phase of expansion.
This move follows recent corporate developments, including buyout proposals and potential mergers discussed in early August.
