Viktor Orbán addresses first Digital Civic Circles camp in Lakitelek

Former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán addressed the first national camp of the Digital Civic Circles (DPK) in Lakitelek, an event attended by approximately 1,100 participants. During his speech, Orbán discussed the concept of national resistance, stating that while the country is not yet in a suitable state for it, his movement is prepared and could “distribute the appropriate tools, who gets what, blunt or sharp.”

His remarks regarding resistance have drawn criticism from Péter Magyar, who characterized the comments as suggesting “armed rebellion” and an “attempt to violently change the constitutional order.” In response, Fidesz communications director Bertalan Havasi dismissed these claims, suggesting Magyar was misinterpreting the speech.

The two-day event featured various Fidesz politicians and public figures, including Tamás Deutsch, Zsolt Bayer, and Philip Rákay. Discussions focused on the future of right-wing media, political values, and the organizational strength of the Fidesz community following recent electoral outcomes. Orbán also addressed his political longevity, noting that he believes he still has four years of political capacity.
