Digital health services expand in Goiás and Marília

Public health entities in Brazil are expanding digital service offerings to improve management and patient access within the Unified Health System (SUS).

In Goiás, the State Health Secretariat (SES) provides several online tools, including 'Meu PEP' for accessing electronic medical records and digital prescriptions, and a regulation queue system that allows users to track the status of consultations, exams, and elective surgeries. Other services include the 'Canal Saúde' for appointment confirmations, digital assistance from the Juarez Barbosa High-Cost Medication Center (Cemac), and telehealth services. These platforms integrate with the National Health Data Network (RNDS) to ensure secure information sharing.

In Marília, the municipal health network is implementing digital solutions through its Digital Health Nucleus. These tools, integrated into the InfoSUS Marília platform, support approximately 60 primary care units. Features include real-time monitoring of dengue cases, vaccination control, laboratory exam management, and geoprocessing to locate reference health units. Additionally, the municipality has introduced 'ComuniKids,' an assistive communication tool designed to help non-verbal children express their needs by converting text to speech.
