Digital inclusion initiatives launched in Monteiro and Baião

The municipality of Monteiro, Paraíba, has announced the arrival of the Caminhos Digitais project. This initiative utilizes an itinerant technology school, a mobile trailer equipped with modern infrastructure and dedicated internet, to offer free courses across the state. Starting November 16, the program provides training in areas such as digital literacy, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, 5G, cloud computing, and digital entrepreneurship to reduce digital inequality.

In Baião, the Municipal Strategic Education Plan 2026–2029 has been approved to introduce programming and computational thinking starting from the first cycle of basic education. The plan aims to modernize school equipment and expand student support to address challenges like demographic aging and geographic dispersion. The strategy focuses on four pillars: Open School to the Community, Quality School and Educational Innovation, Inclusion and Equity, and Local Heritage, Environment, and Sustainability.
