Digital infrastructure expansion in Pombal and Bié

New technological and digital inclusion facilities have been inaugurated in Pombal, Portugal, and Bié, Angola.

In Pombal, a Specialized Technological Center (CTE) dedicated to informatics was opened at the Instituto D. João V in Louriçal. Funded by approximately one million euros through the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the center aims to modernize teaching conditions, prepare students for professional technological demands, and attract qualified professionals to the region.

In the Bié province of Angola, two new informatics centers were established as part of the N’gola Digital program. These facilities, located at the Instituto Politécnico de Administração e Gestão (IPAG) and the Complexo Escolar n.º 322, are accompanied by two new free internet access points. This expansion brings the total number of free access points in the province to 16, each providing coverage of approximately 500 meters to support academic productivity and community digital inclusion.
