Digital investment trends highlight robo-advisor growth and specialized wealth management

The digital investment landscape is seeing growth through both specialized boutique firms and automated robo-advisory platforms. Hannes Hörtnagl and Benjamin Deutsch have established Invest in Best, a company that combines capital market strategies with financial education to build an investor community. The founders' backgrounds range from law enforcement and entrepreneurship to economics.

A study by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) evaluated the performance of robo-advisors, finding the industry provides a very good overall user experience. Banking-based platforms scored slightly higher (85.3 points) than fintech providers (84.3 points). While information accessibility and user navigation received high marks, the study noted room for improvement in analyzing complex personal investment goals and providing direct contact options, such as messaging or callback services, for users requiring human assistance.
