Digital lending in Indonesia grows amid calls for financial literacy
The digital funding industry in Indonesia is seeing significant growth, with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) reporting fintech lending outstanding at Rp105.14 trillion as of June 2026.
KrediOne has reported a national disbursement of Rp19 trillion through July 2026, with Rp572 billion of that total allocated in Bali. To support regional economic development, KrediOne signed a memorandum of understanding with the Crystal Guava Farmer Group in Tabanan, Bali.
Industry leaders emphasize that increased access to digital credit must be accompanied by improved financial literacy. Experts from KrediOne and Kredit Pintar stress the importance of responsible fund management, urging users to understand their cash flow, assess their actual needs, and ensure they can meet repayment obligations to avoid financial distress.
