Digital management aims to reduce Europallet replacement costs

Europallets serve as a critical component in global logistics, used extensively for storing, transporting, and shipping goods due to their standardized 800 x 1,200 mm dimensions. They are integrated into various systems, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse racking.

Because these pallets move through complex multi-use cycles between suppliers, logistics providers, and customers, reliable documentation is essential. A lack of precise tracking during pallet exchanges often leads to discrepancies between actual stock and recorded inventory. This phenomenon, often referred to as pallet shrinkage, is frequently caused by incomplete recording during the exchange process rather than permanent loss, highlighting the need for digital load carrier management to increase transparency and reduce replacement costs.
