Digital nomad visa requirements vary across Spain, Croatia, Thailand, and more
Digital nomad visas allow non-residents to live in a country while working remotely for employers or clients based abroad. Requirements and durations vary significantly by jurisdiction.
In Spain, applicants must demonstrate income of at least 200% of the national minimum wage and possess either a university degree or three years of professional experience. The visa is valid for up to one year, and self-employed individuals may perform up to 20% of their work for Spanish companies.
Croatia offers a temporary stay of up to 18 months. As of October 2026, applicants must show a monthly income of at least 3,622.50 euros or sufficient savings for the duration of the stay.
Other international programs include Thailand’s Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), which allows multiple entries and is valid for five years, Costa Rica’s specific category for remote workers, and Malaysia’s DE Rantau Nomad Pass, which targets both technical and non-technical professionals.
