Digital nomads visit Nikšić as part of EU-supported STAR project
Five international digital nomads, content creators, and remote professionals are visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro this month as part of the STAR Rural Residency program. Supported by the European Union through the IPA III CBC program, the initiative aims to connect the tourism and development potential of the two neighboring countries.
A meet-up titled ‘Beyond Borders: Digital Nomads Stories’ is scheduled for September 30 at the Code Hub in Nikšić. The event is designed for tourism workers, accommodation providers, institutional representatives, and freelancers to gain insight into the specific requirements digital nomads seek, such as infrastructure, working conditions, and local service quality.
The STAR project focuses on developing new tourism content, promoting rural areas, and increasing the international visibility of both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro by leveraging the growing trend of long-term remote workers.
