Digital printing technology expands with new equipment in US and South Africa
The digital printing industry is seeing significant technological expansions through new equipment installations in the United States and South Africa.
In Alabama, PrintCo360 has integrated the Mark Andy Digital Series iQ, a UV inkjet hybrid platform. The company chose this system to maintain a one-pass production model, allowing them to keep printing and converting processes inline rather than moving printed rolls through separate diecutting and slitting operations.
In South Africa, Ren-Flex has installed Africa’s first HP Indigo 200K digital printing press in partnership with Kemtek. This installation marks a shift in the regional market, as the technology allows digital printing to be used for much longer print runs, moving beyond its traditional role of handling only short-run jobs.
