Digital Sovereignty Alliance hosts financial literacy focus group

The Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA) has concluded a focus group session titled ‘Financial Literacy in a Changing Economy,’ held on September 18, 2026, in Hillsdale, Michigan. Conducted in collaboration with The Hillsdalian, the session aimed to gather qualitative data for the DSA’s longitudinal research into how individuals navigate personal finance amidst evolving technological landscapes.

Participants discussed various aspects of financial management, including traditional banking, credit, debt, and long-term wealth building. The session specifically examined the impact of emerging technologies such as mobile banking, payment applications, automated financial platforms, and digital assets like stablecoins and decentralized finance.

The goal of the research is to identify gaps in current financial education frameworks, particularly regarding how consumers interact with increasingly digital financial systems and where uncertainty exists in their financial decision-making processes.
