Digital tax reforms launched in Togo and Tunisia

The Togo Revenue Authority (OTR) has officially launched the e-TPU platform, a digital tool designed for the tele-declaration and tele-payment of the Single Professional Tax (TPU). Accessible 24/7 via mobile phones, the platform aims to modernize tax administration, simplify procedures for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and improve the business climate by eliminating paper declarations and manual data entry.

In Tunisia, Tunisie TradeNet (TTN) has introduced the ‘EL FATOORA’ portal to facilitate electronic invoicing compliance. Designed primarily for small businesses, professionals, and independent workers with lower invoice volumes, the portal allows users to configure company details and enter invoices directly into the system. This digital process generates regulatory-compliant documents and automates transmission to the central platform without requiring complex API or ERP integrations. The rollout follows a mandate affecting approximately 380,000 service providers.
