Digital technologies reshape clinical research and public health

One report explores the growth of citizen science in the digital era, categorizing initiatives into three types: research conducted ‘with the people’ through data collection, ‘by the people’ through community involvement in research design, and ‘for the people’ where participants provide data to researchers.

Additionally, physician and professor Boon-How Chew discusses the requirements for successful digital transformation in healthcare organizations. He emphasizes that structural change requires continuous staff training, a receptive work culture, central governance, and resilient infrastructure. Chew notes that while artificial intelligence can accelerate positive workflows, it may also exacerbate systemic issues if implemented without high-quality data and processes.
