Digital technology trends highlight state government progress and blockchain finance regulation
The Center for Digital Government (CDG) released its 2026 Digital States Survey, evaluating how U.S. state governments utilize technology to improve service delivery and efficiency. Nearly half of the states were recognized as top performers, with Iowa, Nevada, Florida, and Idaho showing the most significant improvements since 2024. The report identifies cybersecurity as the primary IT priority, alongside the integration of artificial intelligence into state IT strategies.
Separately, the Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA) participated in the CoinDesk Policy & Regulation 2026 conference in Washington, D.C. A panel discussion focused on the future of monitoring illicit finance on public blockchains. Experts explored how blockchain analytics and public-private collaboration can enhance financial crime prevention and support regulatory compliance within the digital asset sector.
