Digital transformation initiatives focus on community empowerment and European health data
In Kaolack, a regional workshop was held to address digital challenges and strengthen the skills of civil society and community leaders. Supported by the European Union under the ‘Recentrer le civisme numérique’ project, the initiative aims to empower youth and community leaders regarding digital governance, data management, and the dematerialization of public services in alignment with the Senegal 2050 Agenda.
Separately, the Digital Health Agency hosted approximately 60 representatives from European member states to advance the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The meetings focused on creating a secure, interoperable framework to facilitate the exchange of health data across Europe. Participants discussed technical standards alongside legal, organizational, and clinical requirements to ensure reliable services for patients and healthcare professionals.
