Digital transformation success depends on team training and process management
Digital transformation initiatives often fail to meet intended goals due to a lack of clear processes and team preparedness rather than technological deficiencies. According to data attributed to McKinsey, approximately 90% of digital transformation projects do not achieve their defined objectives. Furthermore, studies suggest that 70% of corporate transformations fail because managers underestimate the effort required to change employee work habits.
In Brazil, a Sebrae study titled ‘Digital Transformation in Small Businesses 2025’ indicates that while 44% of entrepreneurs have used artificial intelligence, usage is often limited to simple tools like virtual assistants rather than complex process automation. Regional data from Sebrae/ES shows that 95.6% of companies using AI limit themselves to chats and assistants. Additionally, 62.2% of respondents reported halting innovation due to a lack of team qualification.
Expert Matheus Luis Pavesi emphasizes that productivity gains depend on understanding customer behavior, organizing internal processes, and training staff to use tools effectively. Without these foundations, technology remains restricted to isolated tasks with minimal impact on sales, customer service, or retention.
