Digital twin bridge cable tension market to reach $7.05 billion by 2035
SDKI Analytics has released a market research report projecting significant growth in the digital twin bridge cable tension market. The market is expected to reach approximately $7.05 billion by 2035, growing from an estimated $1.27 billion in 2025 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 18.7% between 2026 and 2035.
Growth is driven by the increasing adoption of sensor-based structural health monitoring and data-driven bridge management. Digital twin technology allows infrastructure owners to integrate structural models with sensor measurements, inspection records, and time-series data for comprehensive asset oversight. In Japan, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has already conducted technical demonstrations of digital twin platforms that integrate 2D/3D infrastructure data.
In the United States, the Federal Highway Administration’s Bridge Investment Program provides funding for bridge replacement, repair, and preservation through fiscal years 2023–2026. While these funds are not direct subsidies for digital twin adoption, large-scale renovation projects create opportunities to integrate digital asset management and structural health monitoring into new infrastructure. However, high implementation costs and the complexity of integrating new systems with fragmented legacy data remain significant barriers to widespread adoption.
