Digital twin requirements for operating room AI training
Research is being conducted into the requirements for digital twins of operating rooms to serve as a foundation for artificial intelligence training. The goal is to enable AI to assist in the planning and optimization of airflow within these environments to minimize the risk of wound contamination from dust or microorganisms.
By using digital twins—virtual representations of physical spaces—researchers aim to simulate airflow and particle avoidance. This work specifically addresses the characteristics of H1a room classes according to the ÖNORM H 6020 standard to ensure high-quality data is available for training effective AI models.
