Sicilian Court suspends anti-mafia injunction for Favara company

The Administrative Justice Council for the Sicilian Region (CGA) has granted a precautionary appeal for a company based in Favara, suspending an anti-mafia injunction previously issued by the Prefecture of Agrigento.

The injunction had resulted in the company’s removal from the White List. The CGA ruled that the company presented strong legal arguments, noting that previous criminal court rulings—including the annulment of a precautionary measure against the majority shareholder and the exclusion of extortion charges in the ‘Condor’ proceeding—warranted further verification. The court also noted that the injunction and removal from the White List caused immediate and severe prejudice to the company’s business continuity.
