Digitalization boosts success for female entrepreneurs in Erzurum
A study published in the Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Journal of Social Sciences examines the impact of digitalization on the success of female entrepreneurs in Erzurum, Turkey. Conducted by researchers Dilşad Güzel and Ayşegül Turan, the research analyzed data from 120 active members of the Women Entrepreneurs Board of the Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The findings indicate that digitalization has a positive effect on both business experience and entrepreneurial success. Additionally, the study found that increased business experience further contributes to entrepreneurial success. The research highlights that digital technologies optimize business processes, strengthen customer interaction, and improve decision-making mechanisms, making businesses more flexible and innovative.
To support the sustainability of female entrepreneurship and regional development, the study suggests increasing digitalization-focused training and practical workshops, particularly for those facing difficulties with technology use. The results aim to provide a foundation for collaborative strategies between the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations to strengthen the role of women in economic development.
