DigitalízaTE program facilitates 10 million pesos in sales for Yucatán entrepreneurs

The DigitalízaTE program, managed by the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM) under the Government of the Mayan Renaissance, has facilitated over 10 million pesos in transactions across 63 municipalities in Yucatán over approximately ten months.

The initiative provides entrepreneurs and artisans with payment terminals to accept card payments, alongside training to improve business administration and digital integration. Salvador Antonio Vitelli Macías, Director General of IYEM, noted that the terminals also allow users to pay for various services, expanding their utility.

One beneficiary, Martha Ruth Martín Castillo of Tekax, utilized the program to support her business, Zapotitos La Lupita, which produces traditional Yucatecan mazapanes. Her business also benefited from the TransfórmaTE program, receiving assistance with laboratory studies, certifications, corporate image design, and packaging to facilitate distribution through various channels.
