Digitours customers urged to apply for refunds following insolvency

The Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) has issued a call for travelers to apply for refunds following the insolvency of tourism operator SIA Digitours. Due to liquidity issues, the company is unable to fulfill its obligations regarding complex tourism services, and its license has been suspended.

Travelers who contracted for complex tourism services that were either not started or were interrupted due to the operator's liquidity problems are eligible to apply for a refund of the paid amount or a partial refund. This includes individuals who have already submitted requests to PTAC to resolve disputes with the provider.

Applications must be submitted by September 12, 2026. Required documentation includes the traveler's details, payment information, the operator's registration number, a copy of the tourism service contract, and proof of payment. PTAC noted that the protection provided does not cover claims for moral damages, quality deficiencies, insurance payments, or additional expenses incurred by travelers or their families.
