Belgrade protesters enter Informer TV offices following election results FAST-MOVING

A group of citizens and students entered the offices of the pro-government television station Informer in Belgrade on October 26, 2026. The demonstrators, who included Dijana Hrka—a prominent activist seeking justice for her son who died in the Novi Sad railway station canopy collapse—demanded a public apology from editor-in-chief Dragan J. Vučićević for the station's coverage of protesters and victims of the tragedy.

During the live broadcast, Vučićević described the situation as a ‘hostage crisis’ and called for police and emergency assistance. Reports indicated that some protesters struck windows and doors, while Vučićević claimed the group was attempting to intimidate staff. Security personnel eventually evacuated the editor and other employees from the studio as the program was interrupted.

The incident occurred one day after the preliminary results of Serbia's parliamentary elections showed a victory for the Studentska Lista, which is projected to win approximately 141 mandates. The Studentska Lista emerged as a significant political force following widespread protests triggered by the Novi Sad tragedy.
