Dijon police conduct major operation in Rue Berbisey

On September 17, the City of Dijon and the Direction interdépartementale de la police nationale de Côte-d’Or (DIPN 21) conducted a large-scale joint police operation in the Rue Berbisey district. The intervention, which involved 24 officers including municipal police, national police, canine units, and criminal investigators, aimed to address repeated complaints from residents regarding public tranquility and disturbances.

During the operation, authorities inspected eight establishments to ensure compliance with municipal decrees and administrative regulations for beverage outlets. While no narcotics were found inside the inspected premises, officers issued two fines for drug use and initiated legal proceedings regarding undisclosed work (travail dissimulé). The operation was intended as a visible, preventive measure to reinforce local rules and maintain order in the busy city center area.
