Dikili, Turkey Starts Fifth Phase of Natural Gas Network Expansion

The municipality of Dikili and utility company İzmirgaz have launched the fifth phase of the town’s natural‑gas infrastructure project. A 19‑kilometre pipeline will connect the Gazipaşa, Salimbey and İsmetpaşa neighborhoods, extending uninterrupted gas service to an additional 8,300 apartments.

Construction work is slated for completion within eight months, bringing the overall network to more than 72 kilometres of pipe and raising the district’s subscription rate to 51 % and active usage to 47 %. The expansion is part of a broader plan that aims to extend service to all of Dikili’s neighborhoods by 2026.
