Diksha Dagar Misses Cut at Women's Open but Keeps Top LET Ranking
Indian golfer Diksha Dagar missed the cut at the AIG Women's Open in London on 4 August, but she remains the highest‑ranked Indian on the Ladies European Tour (LET). After the season‑ending major, she moved to sixth‑eighth place in the Order of Merit but retained her position at the top of the Indian challenge in the Race to Costa del Sol standings.
Dagar will now target the London Championship at the Century Club, where she is set to lead a five‑player Indian contingent. Fellow Indian LET players include rookie Rukki Avni Prashant (45th in the Race to Costa del Sol), Pranavi Urs (48th), former LET winner Aditi Ashok (58th), and newcomer Hitashi Bakhshi (127th). Although her season concluded early after missing the cut at Royal Lytham & St Annes, the result did not significantly affect her overall performance for the year.
The story highlights the depth of Indian representation on the LET and Dagar’s continued prominence despite the setback at the major tournament.
