Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu warns of societal collapse at ADA meeting
The Family Solidarity Network (ADA), composed of relatives of mayors, bureaucrats, and party officials detained during the March 19 operations, held its 47th meeting in Saraçhane. During the gathering, Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu addressed the assembly, warning that Turkey is on the verge of a major societal collapse driven by deepening poverty, inequality, and institutional erosion.
Imamoglu highlighted various systemic issues, including the housing crisis facing university students, violence in schools, and economic hardships that prevent young people from continuing their education. She criticized the lack of oversight in state institutions, arguing that the boundaries between those who regulate and those who are regulated have blurred, rendering institutions ineffective.
Calling for judicial reform, she demanded that court proceedings be broadcast live to ensure transparency. She emphasized that laws should protect the righteous rather than the powerful, stating that citizens must be able to find impartial justice when seeking their rights.
