Diletta Fosso releases single against gender-based violence
Sixteen-year-old cellist and singer-songwriter Diletta Fosso has released a new single titled ‘Bruciate tutto’, a song addressing gender-based violence and patriarchy. The track was inspired by a phrase from Elena Cecchettin: ‘For Giulia, do not observe a minute of silence, for Giulia burn everything’.
The single, produced by Marco Barusso, has already been named a finalist for Amnesty International’s ‘Voci per la Libertà’ award. It is part of a broader awareness project titled ‘Solo perché mi dispiace’, which includes a short film directed by Matteo Balsamo.
The project aims to engage young people through schools, universities, and digital platforms. The accompanying short film, written and performed by Fosso, depicts a teenager recognizing signs of control and abuse in a relationship.
